Join us for CantataFest on WETA VivaLaVoce, celebrating Bach's birthday month! Throughout March, we will broadcast all of the more than 200 surviving cantatas by Bach. Cantatas air every other hour between 7am and 7pm each day, except on Bach's birthday (March 21), when we will air his large choral works (Mass, Passions, etc.). Learn more about Bach cantatas and our CantataFest here.

John Banther and Evan Keely show you what to listen for in Brahms' orchestration, how he uses compositional tools to create new melodies, sonata form basics, and the rivalry that took place the night of the premiere.
A program of Aaron Copland, Carlos Simon, and Dmitri Shostakovich led by Gianandrea Noseda.
