WETA volunteers provide an invaluable service to WETA and play a vital role in the successful operation of the station. Whether assisting with special events, performing essential administrative tasks, or doing research for national productions, WETA volunteers offer their time and talents to bring excellent programming and services to the community.

Office

Office volunteers support staff members in various departments throughout WETA. Duties include data entry, filing, mailing, and other administrative tasks. Office volunteers help continue the daily operations of WETA and assist staff in multiple areas.

WETA Kids

Assist our outreach and community engagement team around the Greater Washington Community with local activities, community projects, and education workshops throughout the year. Our team is actively in the community providing tools to parents, teachers, and students.

Events

Event volunteers assist with various events throughout the year. These include WETA planned events as well as various community events. WETA has new program screenings, promo booths at local organizations, and various outreach efforts. Responsibilities include helping with guest check-ins, ushering, engaging with guests, distributing collateral, and assisting with other event task.

Combined Federal Campaign

The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is the world’s largest workplace giving program. Every fall the CFC of the National Capital Area host charity fairs at various government locations in and around DC. CFC Volunteers represent WETA at fairs, engage with federal employees, and distribute WETA information.
