Exposed DC
Exposed DC is a great way to connect with other photographers who take photos in and of the greater Washington DC area. You can submit your photos from December through January 2023 photo competition. Subscribe to their newsletter up-to-date information photo features.
Cosplay
Awesomecon is one of several annual conventions that hold cosplay gatherings and activities. Another is Katsucon in February and Otakon in July. Also, the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival is held on the Mall on the last two days of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The Outwin 2022: American Portraiture Today
The Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery is a triennial event. The 42 portraits selected from 2,700 entries are on display at the museum through February 26, 2023. You can vote for the People’s Choice Award through October 16.
