A Night of Georgia Music

Sure they met up in Macon’s renowned Capricorn Records to introduce A Night of Georgia Music, but you can also, immediately tell that when Georgia Outdoors’ host Sharon Collins and Georgia’s own Chuck Leavell (onetime Allman Brothers Band member and current Rolling Stones keyboardist and musical director) got together, it was also an opportunity for friends to catch back up.

A Night of Georgia Music, a concert film showcasing iconic Peach State music made popular by Otis Redding, Ray Charles, the Allman Brothers Band, R.E.M., Outkast, the B-52s and many others, features stars with deep ties to the state: Chuck Leavell (Allman Brothers Band/Rolling Stones), Mike Mills (R.E.M.), and internationally renowned violinist Robert McDuffie. Filmed at Macon’s Grand Opera House.

A Night of Georgia Music, a concert featuring students from Mercer University, internationally renowned violin soloist and Macon native Robert McDuffie, former Allman Brothers Band member and current Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell, and R.E.M. founding member and Macon native Mike Mills, dynamically showcases some of the most iconic songs to come out of the Peach State.
