Hear Nekisha Durrett in a conversation with Camille Brown of the Phillips Collection, where she was one of three artists selected for a commission to celebrate the Phillips’ centennial. Check out Durrett’s Dream Day in DC as reported to the Washington Post’s Going Out Guide.

National Gallery of Art
almathomasdc.org collects all the events by institutions collaborating to celebrate Alma Thomas, including the National Gallery of Art (NGA)’s Wilmerding Symposium. In addition to a large cache of educational resources, NGA shares a unique film every Wednesday, available to stream for free.

Smithsonian Craft Show
The October craft show is online but the organizers hope the spring 2022 show will be back in person. In 2021, the Committee awarded 5 grants, ranging from the translation of science education materials to coronavirus research. Check out grant recipient Mpala Research Center’s live cam.
