The final program in the Youth Music of The World series sees Putnam City Orchestras out of Oklahoma and Carl Sandburg High School Symphonic Winds from Chicago. They perform in St. John’s Church in Smith Square, London, a church which dates back to 1710. A fine selection of beautifully performed classical music is the perfect denouement to the series.

This program takes music students from Woodward Academy in Atlanta and Charlottesville High School to the beautiful church of Santa Maria in Portico Campitelli, in Rome. This is a stunning venue for the Woodward Academy Band and the Charlottesville High School Wind Ensemble to perform in. Look out for the magnificent murals and religious icons which form the backdrop to this stunning concert.

We return to London’s famous Cadogan Hall, to hear students from across the USA singing a repertoire of familiar pieces accompanied by a professional orchestra. For most of the students it’s the first time they have performed outside of the USA. This is part 2 of the magnificent London International Chorale Festival Gala Concert.

From Oklahoma, the Southmoore High School Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band perform in the hallowed halls of St. John’s church in Smith Square, Westminster. In the same program, from Illinois, we’ll also see the Hinsdale High School Convert Band playing at St. John’s church in Waterloo, London. All these talented young musicians are performing outside of the USA for the first time.

Nebraska Youth Orchestra + West Boca Raton Community HS in Rome

The Nebraska Youth Orchestra, comprised of young musicians from the Omaha Area Youth Orchestras organisation, appear at the Basilica Sant’ Andrea della Valle, famous for being the opening scene from the opera Tosca. From Florida the West Boca Raton Community High School Woodwind Choir performs at the San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini which dates back to 1519.

Cadogan Hall, London International Choral Festival Concert

Performing in London’s Cadogan Hall, a 200 strong choir drawn from schools across the USA perform pieces accompanied by a professional orchestra. For most of the students it’s their first time singing in such a prestigious venue. Cadogan Hall is the home of the London Symphony Orchestra and the recording space for many famous albums. This is part of the London International Chorale Festival.
