    In the central Ohio city of Lancaster, the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic stretched already thin public safety resources. Despite aid from the federal CARES Act, city officials say they need more revenue to fund the fire department and police next year and beyond.     Ohio, a swing state which Obama won in 2012, voted overwhelmingly for Trump in 2016. This election, the Biden campaign seems to have made some inroads in winning some of that lost support, reverting the state to a swing state. Paul Beck, professor emeritus in the department of political science at The Ohio State University joins Hari Sreenivasan to discuss the state’s political landscape.

    New clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia have erupted over the control of Nagorno-Karabakh. The conflict, which has been going on for over three weeks, has devastated the region, killing hundreds of soldiers and dozens of civilians. Simon Ostrovsky reports from ground zero with support from the Pulitzer Center. A warning: some of the images seen are disturbing.
