Recently published confidential documents revealed that senior U.S. officials misled the public about the war in Afghanistan. When former Vice President Joe Biden was asked what he knew about the state of the war during his time in the Obama administration, Biden said, “I’m the guy from the beginning who argued that it was a big, big mistake to surge forces to Afghanistan. Period."

Former Vice President Joe Biden made the case at the Democratic debate for a public health care option, in contrast to Sen. Bernie Sanders’ support for a single-payer Medicare for All solution, saying that Sanders “isn’t being realistic.” Biden said his plan would build on Obamacare, “and most importantly, it lets you choose what you want.” Sanders said Biden’s plan would “retain the status quo.”
Candidates answer, would you ask forgiveness or give a gift?

With the holiday season in mind, moderators at the Democratic debate asked the seven candidates on stage to either ask for forgiveness for something from another candidate, or to offer someone on stage a gift. Andrew Yang said he would like to give everyone a copy of his book. Sen. Elizabeth Warren said she would ask for forgiveness for getting a little "worked up" and "hot."
