President Joe Biden will give his first joint address to Congress Wednesday — a moment to sell his vision to the American people that comes on the eve of his 100th day in office. Biden is expected to outline his plans to tackle the pandemic and reimagine the U.S. economy with a focus on creating jobs while combating climate change. Yamiche Alcindor and Lisa Desjardins report from the Capitol.

In his first address to a joint session of Congress, President Joe Biden is expected to touch on his ambitious plans for the country. One of those plans is his $1.8 trillion American Families Plan. Heather Boushey is a member of the White House Council of Economic Advisers, and joins Judy Woodruff to discuss what the plan is, and what it hopes to achieve for American families.

A North Carolina judge blocked the release of body camera video in the fatal police shooting of Andrew Brown Jr. The U.S. Senate voted to restore regulations limiting methane emissions from oil and gas fields.

One of the major themes from President Joe Biden's first address to a joint session of Congress Wednesday will be plans to substantially expand programs affecting children, families and reducing poverty. Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins died Wednesday after battling cancer. In 1969, he stayed in lunar orbit alone for over 20 hours while fellow astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made the first landing on the moon. Collins said he had no regrets, he was focused on making sure his crewmates could return home. Miles O'Brien spoke with Collins for the 50th anniversary of the historic flight.

The social media platform Snapchat, the "F-word," and cheerleading made its way to the Supreme Court Wednesday, in a battle over student free speech. The Supreme Court ruled in 1969 that public schools could punish disruptive student speech in school, 18-year-old Brandi Levy's case asks whether that right extends to off-campus speech. John Yang has the report.

For the first time in history, two women will sit behind the president of the United States as he addresses a joint session of Congress. A first for Vice President Kamala Harris, this is now the fourth president Nancy Pelosi has worked with as House speaker. Stephanie Sy takes a deeper look at America's policing practices and the obstacles to meaningful reform with Christy Lopez. Lopez oversaw the "pattern-or-practice" investigations of police departments at the Department of Justice from 2010 to 2017, and now teaches at Georgetown Law, where she co-directs their Innovative Policing Program.
