In Oman on Saturday, the United States and Iran appeared to take the first steps that could lead to a new agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear activities and lift U.S. economic sanctions. The White House described the talks as “very positive and constructive.” Iran’s foreign minister said the two sides will meet again in a week. John Yang speaks with policy analyst Karim Sadjadpour for more.

In recent years, hospital systems have been buying up medical practices at a rapid pace. Now, patients getting routine medical care are being hit with high costs and unexpected hospital fees — even if they never visited a hospital. Special correspondent Megan Thompson reports.

Last year, the surgeon general warned that parents in the United States are overwhelmed and burnt out. One group of parents is often overlooked: the 1 in 15 with disabilities. Author Jessica Slice, who became disabled years before becoming a mother, says the experience prepared her for parenthood.
