What to know about the start of U.S.-Iran negotiations

In Oman on Saturday, the United States and Iran appeared to take the first steps that could lead to a new agreement to limit Iran’s nuclear activities and lift U.S. economic sanctions. The White House described the talks as “very positive and constructive.” Iran’s foreign minister said the two sides will meet again in a week.
