John Taylor, the current owner of Brown’s Hardware, describes the neighborhood landmark’s growth and change as Falls Church transformed from a “sleepy village” to the city it is today. And as Christine explains, that transformation was intertwined with the history of race and school segregation in Northern Virginia.
