Marilla Cuthbert (Sara Botsford) knew that Anne Shirley (Ella Ballentine) had a lot to learn, but she is amazed that Anne doesn’t know any prayers. Anne has a can-do attitude and an active imagination, so she makes up her own unique prayer.

Upon ruining a pie, Anne contends that there are "two Annes" living inside her, which causes her to be troublesome. Marilla is not amused, and hopes Anne strives to live a more sensible life.

Anne (Ella Ballentine) attends a picnic with Josie Pye (Stefani Kimber), who points out a handsome young man named Gilbert Blythe (Drew Haytaoglu). Then Anne tastes ice cream for the first time in her life, much to the surprise of Mrs. Lynde (Kate Hennig).

Anne attempts to oust Gilbert as they subtly compete for the top grades at school. Will Anne be victorious in her pursuits?

Matthew Cuthbert (Martin Sheen) gives Anne Shirley (Ella Ballentine) the lay of the land as they arrive at Green Gables. Anne makes an immediate impression on Matthew with her love for daydreaming. She’s not a boy, after all, but could Anne and Matthew become fast friends?

Marilla and Matthew are in for a surprise when they discover that a peddler has stopped by Green Gables and that an over-trusting Anne has made an impulse purchase. Marilla scolds Anne for not staying true to her word and questions whether she is truly “trying her very hardest to be sensible.”

Mr. Phillips (Kyle Gatehouse) does not tolerate rowdy behavior in this classroom. When Gilbert Blythe (Drew Haytaoglu) and Anne (Ella Ballentine) cause a commotion during his lesson, Mr. Phillips acts quickly. Will he teach Anne how to control her temper?

Siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert (Sara Botsford and Martin Sheen) are in for a surprise when Anne Shirley (Ella Ballentine) arrives at Green Gables.
