Each December, NSO Showcase presents a performance of Handel’s Messiah from the National Symphony Orchestra. This month’s offering is conducted by the acclaimed early music expert, Fabio Biondi. Soloists Liv Redpath, Hannah Ludwig, Matthew Myers and Neal Davies join the Choral Arts Society of Washington for what The Washington Post called an incendiary performance: “This was a Messiah on fire—with a chorus that felt as combustible as the orchestra. They delivered a smoldering fugue in Part II and simmering tension in Part III. The chorus here felt like a true counterpart of the orchestra—a manifestation of divine symmetry.” Join us on air December 3rd at 9:00 p.m., or any time you’d like a dose of holiday inspiration throughout December, streaming on-demand here.
