WETA Passport Picks for March

Are you ready for spring?  Here in the DC area, springtime brings so much to look forward to: the Cherry Blossoms in bloom, time to get outside and enjoy the weather…and plenty of new shows to stream with WETA Passport!  There’s no shortage of drama this month.  Binge-watch the final season of Sanditon, get early access to the latest season of Call the Midwife and get hooked on new addition Marie Antoinette. Sanditon returns for a final season! Fans will be greeted by returning characters and many other beloved residents of the seaside resort town.

Joining the series are new characters that will bring drama, romance and plenty of laughter. Lady Montrose is the quintessential Austen mother—she arrives in Sanditon with one objective: matches for her children, Lydia and Henry. Lydia is an independent young woman who is not as eager for a match as her mother, and Lord Henry—who is confident, but he holds a secret. Rowleigh Pryce is a wealthy investor who is interested in teaming up with Tom Parker on the seaside resort’s expansion. However, their plans soon become complicated. Also new to Sanditon is Alexander’s brother, Samuel Colbourne—a lawyer, and a charming bachelor.

Call the Midwife Season 12 premieres arrives soon and many changes are in store. It’s now 1968, and time marches on, even as the residents of Poplar work to get back to normal following the devastating train crash that closed Season 11.

After the events of the most recent holiday special, Trixie and Matthew are engaged, and we have said goodbye to both Sister Hilda and Sister Francis, who have returned to the Mother House. But we’ll also be saying hello to a new face in the new season: Rebecca Gethings as Sister Veronica, who will apparently clash with some members of Nonnatus House, thanks to her frequently abrupt tone and no-nonsense attitude.
