Tom Jones
This miniseries reimagines The History of Tom Jones, A Foundling, Henry Fielding’s classic novel. A picturesque story of the title character’s complicated journey to find real love, Tom Jones has delighted and scandalized readers since it was originally published in 1749.
Binge all four episodes of this limited series starting April 30, the night of its broadcast premiere, with WETA Passport.
Iconic America
In ICONIC AMERICA, David M. Rubenstein—co-founder of The Carlyle Group, patriotic philanthropist, lifelong student of history, and the series’ host and executive producer—explores American history through a close examination of iconic national symbols: indelible artifacts, places, and archetypes. Rubenstein is on location and in conversation with historical thinkers, community members, and subject matter experts. Together, they dive deeply into each symbol’s history and how its meaning has changed over time, using these symbols as a gateway to understanding America’s past and present. Emmy-Award-winning production company Show of Force is also an executive producer.

Joining the series are new characters that will bring drama, romance and plenty of laughter. Lady Montrose is the quintessential Austen mother—she arrives in Sanditon with one objective: matches for her children, Lydia and Henry. Lydia is an independent young woman who is not as eager for a match as her mother, and Lord Henry—who is confident, but he holds a secret. Rowleigh Pryce is a wealthy investor who is interested in teaming up with Tom Parker on the seaside resort’s expansion. However, their plans soon become complicated. Also new to Sanditon is Alexander’s brother, Samuel Colbourne—a lawyer, and a charming bachelor.

Only that way can she guarantee the safety of her son Christian, who’s currently on the run with Dubravka’s daughter Bianca.
Joni Mitchell: Gershwin Prize
After getting her start in coffee shops Joni Mitchell went on to set a new standard, marrying music and lyrics with such songs as “Both Sides, Now.” While her early material is often categorized as “folk,” she became a household name with music that defies categorization.
