Julian Norton is called out on an emergency to a heifer that is in agony, with an object stuck in its painful, swollen and infected hoof. Peter removes a large lump from the head of golden retriever, Holly.

Julian receives a late-night call out to a cow that is giving birth, but complications with the delivery leave the lives of both mother and calf hanging in the balance. Naughty Labrador Alfie has swallowed a spatula while stealing food.

Julian Norton receives an emergency call from alpaca breeder Jackie, whose prize-winning female Cinderella is having a difficult labor. Peter Wright has to castrate Larry the chinchilla who is responsible for a population explosion.
