What does the Asian American, Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander community look like? What we learn from hearing stories across the country and around the globe is that the diaspora is no monolith. In May, films and programs chronicle the breadth, identities and resilience of AANHPIs while showcasing how change is continuously shaping individuals as they explore their distinct experiences.

This remix of the 2015 'A Conversation about Race' series is a vibrant collage of people’s lives and experiences, which powerfully frame and illustrate the reckoning that is happening around us.

AMERICA LOST explores America’s “forgotten cities” - Youngstown, OH, Memphis, TN and Stockton, CA. Through a series of stories, the film shows the dramatic decline of once prosperous communities. The film sheds light on how crumbling economic and social institutions have created a gap between the haves and have nots while also offering hope for rebuilding America’s “forgotten” from the bottom up.
