Rep. John Lewis Recalls His March on Washington Speech

Rep. John Lewis recalls the speech that he gave at the 1963 March on Washington. The original version had fiery rhetoric, which March organizers A. Phillip Randolph and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. asked him to tone down. Lewis made edits to the speech behind the Lincoln Memorial statue just moments before taking the podium.
