WETA Arts returns with a spotlight on Bob Boilen, creator of the iconic Tiny Desk Concert series on NPR, a globally recognized platform for musicians. Viewers also discover the exquisite work and artistic collaborations of Susan Goldman, a printmaker, teacher and documentarian working in Rockville, MD.
In retirement, former NPR All Things Considered host and Tiny Desk Concert creator Bob Boilen leans into Takoma Park’s unique low-power radio station WOWD-LP. And, the founder of Rockville-based Lily Press, Susan Goldman, supports artists and collectors dedicated to print art.

WOWD-LP’s broadcast at 94.3 FM and reaches about 250,000 listeners in vicinity of Takoma Park. Outside the range? No problem – you can stream live or even past shows at TakomaRadio.org. Apply to be a DJ, or stay updated on events and station news by subscribing to the newsletter. Bob Boilen’s program, My Tiny Morning Show, airs on Wednesdays at 8 am.
Susan Goldman and the Print Community
Expert printer Susan Goldman’s work – and that of some of her clients – will be featured at the Fine Art Print Fair in New York. Closer to home, you can view her prints alongside those of renowned artist Sam Gilliam, at Georgetown’s Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. Goldman’s latest documentary, Black Printmakers of Washington DC, is currently making it’s way through the film festival circuit. For updates, follow her studio, Lily Press.
