You can meet artists in the Gateway Arts District at their open studio events. Otis Street Arts Project is hosting an open studio on October 22, 2022 from 12 to 5 PM, while Red Dirt Studio is opening its doors to the public on November 13, 2022 from 1 to 4 PM. Portico Gallery will host a solo show by artist Tom Hill called “Unnatural Desire in Natural Settings,” which runs from September 10 through October 29, 2022. Portico Gallery is open on Saturdays from noon to 3 PM or by appointment.  You can learn more about Otis St. Arts Project, Red Dirt Studio and Portico Gallery on their websites.

See more work by Marta Pérez García at her next exhibition, Rotura-Rupture, featured at the John A. Cade Center for Fine Arts Gallery at Anne Arundel Community College. Want to learn how to work with paper yourself? Check out her in-person and virtual classes in papermaking and sculpting at the Atlantic Art Center in Hyattsville Maryland. You can subscribe to the 2022/2023 season of Mosaic Theater on their website. Ifa Bayeza’s The Till Trilogy runs from October 7 through November 20. You can also attend the accompanying Till Trilogy Reflection Series, featuring events hosted across Washington D.C. that provide opportunities to reflect on the plays’ themes of justice, Black history and activism.
