Tap Dance

See Capitol Tap and District Tap (plus special guests!) perform in Knock On Wood Tap Studio's Annual Student Showcase on June 11th. Want to try tap dance? Take a class  at Knock on Wood. For experienced tappers, Capitol Tap and District Tap are holding auditions through the month of May.

Atlas Performing Arts Center’s Arts Lab will showcase artists-in-residence in concert on June 3rd and 4th. The show will feature Duke Ellington Graduate writer and singer Christopher Prince, performing Loud as the Rolling Sea, which highlights protest music and songs of social consciousness through recent history. Maryland based dancer Madeline Maxine Gorman will perform The Myth of Me, which explores the origins and journey of queer femininity. And in June, check out upcoming performances by Atlas’ resident theater companies Solas Nua and Mosaic Theater.
