Rubell Museum DC
An extensive collection of contemporary art came to Washington with the October 2022 opening of the Rubell Museum DC. Housed in the historic Randall Junior High School building, a newly restored DC landmark, the museum is free for DC residents. Check the museum website for ticket information.
Kirsty Little
Kirsty Little’s artistic expertise ranges from aerial performance art to sculpture made from recycled material. Her work has been featured in VisArts gallery in Rockville, the Honfleur Gallery in Anacostia, and at the American University gallery in Northwest DC. Her public art project RightNOW is on display in Chevy Chase, MD. In addition, you can see her work at an upcoming exhibit at the Athenaeum gallery in Alexandria, VA May 4 – June 11.
Molly Smith
Molly Smith, Artistic Director of the trailblazing theater Arena Stage, is retiring at the end of the season. She’s overseen more than 200 productions during her 25-year tenure at the theater. The last two shows before the end of the season are Angels in America, Part One: Millennium Approaches and the world premiere of Exclusion by Kenneth Lin. Learn more on Arena Stage’s website.
