In the lead-up to Zelda’s wedding, Jasper is wrestling with his feelings for Helena. Dan becomes obsessed by a dying man’s final words, but Maiya worries it’s about Dan’s grief over Lisa. Zelda has doubts about the wedding but Jasper’s advice makes him realize his feelings for Helena. Ms. Snares takes Jasper to Collins’ lecture on the warrior gene and Jasper is intrigued by something he says.

Adelaide’s painting is vandalized and the gallery owner is killed; but Jasper is distracted from the case after learning about Ms. Snares’ DNA test. Jasper agonizes over opening the results. In light of the news, the men come together and the Dean tells Jasper about his feelings for Zelda. The Dean races to stop her getting engaged and proposes himself.

When an actress is stabbed on stage and the director’s daughter is also attacked, the team jump to investigate but Chloe gets herself into trouble by overstepping her mark with the daughter. Helena also knows the family involved in the case, so Jasper reaches out to her for help and we see Helena open up to Jasper about her personal life. The Dean and Zelda share a moment but the Dean pulls away.
