Why North Carolina is investing in expanded Medicaid access

North Carolina became the latest in a growing number of states to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act. Gov. Roy Cooper signed the bill into law marking a major victory for Democrats in their efforts to expand federally assisted healthcare coverage.
