Mayor Humphrey of Minneapolis

In 1945, as the young Mayor of Minneapolis, Hubert Humphrey changed the face of a troubled city and began a lifelong crusade for civil and human rights by waging a courageous battle against racism and antisemitism. Three years later, at the Democratic National Convention, he delivered an historic speech that would change the Democratic Party, and signal coming of the modern civil rights movement.
