Gulalai Ismail has been an advocate for human rights in Pakistan since she was 16 years old. For years, she has spoken out about abuses against women and girls, and last year, she began to advocate for victims of alleged sexual assault by Pakistan’s army – and for that, she has paid a very big price. She sits down with Michel Martin to discuss her experiences.
