Agatha Christie's Marple

When a young blonde is found strangled in the library of Gossington Hall, Dolly Bantry quickly calls in her old friend Miss Marple to help her with some sleuthing. They soon discover that the dead woman was a dancer from the glamorous Majestic Hotel, and decide to check in themselves in order to observe the guests and solve the murder.

In the sleepy English village of St. Mary Mead, one man--Colonel Protheroe--is intensely disliked by everyone. When Protheroe is then found with a bullet through the head and slumped over the desk in the vicarage study, the obvious suspects seem to be the colonel's wife or her lover. Is it possible that they have been framed? Miss Marple unpicks the truth behind the crime.

When a train passes the 4:50 train from Paddington, Elspeth McGillicuddy sees a woman in the parallel carriage being strangled. But with no trace of a body, was she dreaming? Together with Miss Marple, they begin their own investigation.

A murder is announced in the newspaper but upon arrival at Lettie Blacklock's house, they discover that their host did not place the advert. The room goes dark and gunshots ring out. Miss Marple must uncover the truth.
