WETA & WGBH Invite Public to Enter Free Drawing by April 19 for Tickets to First Visit to Washington, D.C., for “ANTIQUES ROADSHOW"

For the first time ever, ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, PBS’s most-watched series since 1998, is coming to Washington, D.C.  WETA TV 26, the public broadcaster for the Greater Washington region, and WGBH, the producing station for ANTIQUES ROADSHOW, invite the public to enter a random drawing for free tickets to the taping on August 21.  Ticket-holders will each be able to bring two items for appraisal and may appear in an upcoming episode of the television show.  The event is free, but individuals must have a ticket in order to attend; all tickets will be distributed in advance and there will not be tickets available the day of the taping.  Due to the huge demand, there is a random drawing for this free event — the deadline to enter is April 19.

ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is part adventure, part history lesson and part treasure hunt.  The seven-time Emmy® Award-nominated ANTIQUES ROADSHOW is PBS’s highest-rated series and is seen by almost 11 million viewers each week.  Veteran television personality Mark L. Walberg serves as series host.  ANTIQUES ROADSHOW cameras capture tales of family heirlooms, yard sale bargains and long-lost items salvaged from attics and basements, while experts reveal the fascinating truths about these finds.  ANTIQUES ROADSHOW airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. on WETA TV 26.
