Passion Music
Franz Joseph Haydn's Stabat Mater, from a 13th-century prayer for the Blessed Mother at the cross, was his first sacred work. We'll hear a performance featuring the Zurich Sing-Akademie led by Rene Jacobs. We'll follow with Mozart's beloved setting of Ave verum corpus.
