Shortly after his arrival in London, George Frideric Handel composed a Te Deum for the Peace of Utrecht. The following year he wrote another for the arrival in the capital of Caroline, the new Princess of Wales. The Dettingen Te Deum came thirty years later, celebrating peace following the War of Austrian Succession. We'll hear all three this weekend on Choral Showcase.
