July 13: Wintergreen Music Festival - Music & Nature Hike II – Serenity & Strings

Wintergreen Music partners with The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen in this second of two special event collaborations. Embark on a serene journey through the woods, where each step invites you to find solace within the mountain trails. Join your Nature Foundation guides, Artistic Director Erin Freeman, and Festival Artists Alison Hall (violin) and Johanna Beaver (viola) as you connect with nature’s meditative side. 

July 15: Heifetz Institute  - Heifetz at 30

Join us for a special evening with Heifetz Founder Daniel Heifetz, the Institute’s first Administrator Seljuk Kardan, and other special guests for a panel discussion-plus-videos examining the Institute’s early years, moderated by Heifetz President & CEO Benjamin K. Roe. It will be followed by a special performance by the Heifetz Institute’s Ensemble in Residence Borromeo Quartet, led by current Artistic Director Nicholas Kitchen.

July 15: Wintergreen Music Festival - Passionate Piano - Music of Glinka, Fauré, & Brahms 

The piano plays a central role in this exciting evening of Romantic-era chamber music. From the folk inspired trio for the unusual combination of Clarinet, Bassoon, and Piano by Russian composer Mikhail Glinka to the sweeping lines of French composer Gabriel Fauré’s first piano quartet. Arched in the middle is the second of our 2026 Brahms’ cello sonatas, a tour de force as much for the cellist (Hannah Holman) as for the pianist (Jason Wirth).

July 16: Baltimore Symphony Orchestra - A Midsummer Night at Boordy

Unwind under the summer sky with Mozart’s luminous Flute Concerto and Mendelssohn’s beloved A Midsummer Night’s Dream, including the iconic Wedding March. Set among the vines at Boordy, this program blends graceful melodies, playful energy, and timeless favorites into an unforgettable outdoor concert experience.

July 17: Wintergreen Music Festival - From America to Austria – Music of Coleman, Price & Brahms

Sure to be a highlight of the summer, our third MountainTop Masterworks led by Robert Moody features the Wintergreen Festival Orchestra in three distinct musical expressions.  Anchored by Brahms’ sunny and joyful second symphony, the concert also features the first violin concerto by American composer Florence Price, performed by celebrated artist Rachel Lee Priday.  The concert opens with Tracing Visions by Wintergreen Music’s Composer-In-Residence Valerie Coleman. This work weaves a narrative that highlights the connection between community and musical expressions—a fitting piece for Wintergreen Music!

July 17: Wolf Trap Opera - Eugene Onegin

Based on Pushkin’s revered novel, Tchaikovsky’s opera is a passionate journey into the Russian soul. Young, idealistic Tatiana pours her heart out to the world-weary Eugene Onegin, whose callous rejection sets their lives on an agonizing course of regret. The exquisite score masterfully fuses soaring, lyrical beauty with raw dramatic intensity to paint the perfect story of missed chances and unrequited love.

July 17: Heifetz Institute - Celebrity Series

The Friday night concerts are a showcase for dazzling performances by the world-renowned Heifetz faculty, preceded as always by the complimentary Heifetz Happy Hour, featuring regional wines, craft beers, and light refreshments.
