Brian Ganz is one of the Washington area’s leading concert pianists. He recently retired from a 21-year tenure on the piano faculty of the Peabody Conservatory and is currently artist-in-residence and on the piano faculty of St. Mary’s College of Maryland. I recently had the great pleasure of interviewing Mr. Ganz about his upcoming 16th and final concert in his 15+-year-long project, in collaboration with the National Philharmonic Orchestra, to perform, live in concerts, every note written by his favorite composer, Frederic Chopin.

Brian Ganz will be performing “Extreme Chopin,” the final concert in his great Chopin quest, on Saturday, April 11th, at 7:30 at Strathmore. Ticket information at Strathmore.org.
