Title: Senior Associate, Digital Fundraising
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: Manager, Digital Fundraising
Salary Range: $60,000 - $64,000
JOB OBJECTIVE:
The new position of Senior Associate, Digital Fundraising will build out, drive innovation and implement WETA’s digital ads program under the oversight of the Manager, Digital Fundraising and other stakeholders. The Senior Associate will also coordinate and expand initiatives related to promotion of our streaming video member benefit, WETA Passport, our #1 source of new donors. The Senior Associate reports to the Manager, Digital Fundraising.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate media plans for digital ads program (currently SEM and Roku ads) to grow from $200K in gross income/16K streaming video app installs, in concert with institutional fundraising needs and streaming priorities, monitor performance and make budget adjustments, as necessary.
- Draft ad copy and coordinate with internal design and video teams to produce compelling graphics and videos as needed.
- Work with the Data Strategy and Development Services team to evaluate digital advertising performance, coordinating detailed reports on campaign performance.
- Research and provide recommendations for a testing plan for future platform expansion, e.g., YouTube and FireTV.
- Write, configure and deploy initiatives related to donations and activations for the streaming member benefit WETA Passport, including weekly e-newsletters, automation journeys, direct solicitations, website assets including donation form testing and cultivation/stewardship activities.
- Provide administrative support for the project management of streaming partnerships to encourage adoption, activation, and usage of WETA’s streaming platform and Passport donations.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Excellent organizational, project planning, presentation, and time management skills with careful attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to generate, interpret and act upon analytical reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrable ability to interact with a wide variety of people using diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully perform in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of computer technology to efficiently accomplish work, using Microsoft Office suite. Possess knowledge of and experience with donor database software.
- Experience creating, trafficking, and optimizing digital ad campaigns using platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and/or OTT devices to hit ROAS and spend goals.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in making data-informed decisions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 year of experience in digital advertising, preferably at a non-profit organization, electoral campaign, or advocacy organization.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LOCATION
WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations. We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
