Producer, Multimedia Fundraising

Reports to: Sr Director Multimedia Fundraising

Job Objective

The Producer, Multimedia Fundraising will design and drive TV, radio and digital pledge campaigns from conception, production and business planning through analysis of results. The Producer will coordinate the work of diverse internal and external contributors to these efforts.

Essential Functions

Skills & Abilities Required

  • Experience with planning television and radio on-air fundraising campaigns including goals, themes, premium choices, and studio production resources to maximize membership revenue is critical in this role.

    Important skills for this role are:

  • On-Air production in broadcasting and editing.
  • Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment, and to manage own time and schedules.
  • Focus on experimentation and innovation in changing media and fundraising landscape.
  • Work within a team framework to achieve organization goals. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter that is also a strong team player who seeks out ways to collaborate.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and other times as required.
  • Must be highly motivated, enthusiastic and possess desire to achieve, with an ability to be a self-starter.

Education and Experience

  • Four-year college degree required, or equivalent additional years of experience in TV/Radio production, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Previous public media or non-profit fundraising experience preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LOCATION

WETA and NewsHour Productions are Washington, DC established media and news organizations. We are a largely local workforce based out of the Campbell Place office in Arlington, VA. WETA and NewsHour Productions value employee flexibility when possible. Most positions based in our Arlington, VA office will be onsite or hybrid, depending upon the role.
