WETA Classical's "NSO-Beethoven CD Set" giveaway (the "Giveaway") is one day only and will begin at 6:00 a.m. (EST) on February 15, 2024, and all entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (EST) on February 15, 2024.
A giveaway will be announced on-air at four (4) separate times on February 15, 2024. When announcing the giveaway, the on-air host will also indicate the number of the symphony about to be broadcast. Contestants must email classical@weta.org with the symphony number in order to qualify for the giveaway. - ELIGIBILITY: Giveaway is open only to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia with a valid email address who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry. Giveaway is not open to employees or interns of the Greater Washington Educational Telecommunications Association, Inc. ("WETA"), and the company's respective affiliates and subsidiaries, and the immediate family members of, and any persons domiciled with, such employees or interns.
- PRIZE: Four (4) Giveaway winners will be selected on or about February 16, 2024, in four (4) random drawings from eligible entries, one for each of the Beethoven symphonies mentioned on-air. The Giveaway prize winners will receive one (1) CD set of "Beethoven - The Complete Symphonies, Gianandrea Noseda, National Symphony Orchestra" (approximate retail value $39).
- ODDS: Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
- WINNER NOTIFICATION AND ACCEPTANCE: Winners will be notified via email on or about February 16, 2024.
- PARTICIPATION: Participation in the Giveaway constitutes an agreement by each entrant to comply with these Official Giveaway Rules. By entering, participants further agree to be bound by the terms relating to the use of WETA's websites, including its Privacy Policy. WETA reserves the right to disqualify persons found tampering with or otherwise abusing any aspect of this Giveaway as solely determined by WETA. In the event the Giveaway is compromised by a malware, non-authorized human intervention, tampering or any other cause beyond the reasonable control of WETA which corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness or proper operation of the Giveaway, WETA reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Giveaway. Should the Giveaway be terminated prior to the stated expiration date, WETA reserves the right to award prizes based on the entries received before the termination date.
Winners of the Giveaway are ineligible to win any other WETA Giveaway for a period of six (6) months from the expiration of the Giveaway Period. - LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:By entering the Giveaway, entrant agrees that (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Giveaway, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (2) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Giveaway, but in no event attorney's fees; and (3) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain any award for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for actual out-of-pocket expenses.
- CONSTRUCTION: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Giveaway Rules, or the rights and obligations of any entrant and WETA, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions (whether of Virginia, or any other jurisdiction) that would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Virginia. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any such provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable, these rules shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or unenforceable provision was not contained therein.
- GENERAL RELEASE: By entering the Giveaway, entrants release WETA, any other promotional sponsors, and each of their respective affiliated companies, directors, officers, employees, representatives, partners and agents from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Giveaway or with the acceptance, possession or use of any prize (including, without limitation, claims, costs, injuries, losses or damages related to personal injuries, death, damage to, loss or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light).
- SPONSOR: The Giveaway is sponsored by WETA, whose decisions regarding the selection of winners and all other aspects of the Giveaway shall be final and binding in all respects. WETA will not be responsible for typographical, printing or other inadvertent errors in these Official Giveaway Rules or in other materials relating to the Giveaway.
