The COVID-19 relief bill provided emergency aid to millions of Americans facing financial insecurity due to the pandemic. Despite ongoing debate over safety net policy, a new analysis of U.S. Census Bureau “household pulse” surveys looks at how the stimulus aid impacted Americans. H. Luke Shaefer, co-author of the study and Director of Poverty Solutions at the University of Michigan, joins.

Dr. Chris Beyrer, professor at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, who has been on the frontlines of COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS joins to discuss.
