The Federal Trade Commission proposed banning noncompete clauses that prevent workers from switching employers or starting a new business. About one in five Americans, approximately 30 million people, are affected by these policies. The FTC will accept public comments for 60 days before it finalizes the rule. Biden plan expels more migrants entering U.S. illegally

The White House unveiled a new immigration plan that will increase expulsions at the southern border. The plan cracks down on those who enter the country illegally but also allows 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Haiti to enter the country each month as part of a humanitarian parole program. GOP divide leaves House without speaker for third day
