Salvation | Katavi: Africa's Fallen Paradise

After the worst drought in years, hope looms on the horizon. The rains finally arrive, and the water brings relief and movement for all. However, the parched land cannot absorb the heavy rain, bringing fresh dangers and further testing the animal families’ survival skills.

It's extremely rare for crocodiles and hippos to mingle so closely, but extreme drought forces the animals to behave abnormally. As crocodiles and hippos crowd one of the few remaining waterholes, chaos erupts and threatens the life of a baby hippo.

The lion pride works together to take down a buffalo -- even calling in their cubs to watch as they bring down their prey.
