Based on a 1970s alternative history novel written by acclaimed author Len Deighton, this drama series follows a British detective named Douglas Archer as he attempts to solve a murder case in Nazi-occupied London following Germany's win in the Battle of Britain. What initially seems like a straightforward police operation soon escalates into a more serious affair, as Archer faces a crisis of conscience over whether or not to stand up to his new bosses, the SS. Archer's dilemma is made even more complex when issues surrounding love, trust and patriotism enter the fray.
