Composed of six one-hour documentaries, "Makers" showcases American women in comedy, Hollywood, space, business, politics and war. Women relate their struggles, triumphs and contributions as they navigate their respective fields which, historically, were dominated by men. Produced and directed by independent filmmakers, the series includes interviews with trailblazers -- some known, some unknown -- which provide a glimpse into how they have helped reshape life and culture in the United States.
