June Solo Show at Gallery Clarendon

“Not so Far Away: Regional Landscapes” featured at GALLERY CLARENDON during June

Dates: June 5-30, 2019 with Opening Reception on Sunday, June 9 from 3-6pm

Free and open to the public

Arlington, VA –Featured in the Overlook Gallery during June is Ingrid Mateszewski’s "Not So Far Away: Regional Landscapes," a solo show of oil and acrylic paintings of Great Falls, VA, the C&O canal and pleinair landscapes in the Greater Washington, D.C. area.

“I paint in a very loose and carefree style and favor bold brushwork," says Mateszewski. "I'm fascinated by color, light and movement in nature. Most of my art inspirations relate to my love for the Virginia countryside; farms, barns, winding country roads, open space, trees, creeks, rivers and pastures. The countryside in particular is a respite for the soul in this busy metropolitan area, and I hope that my paintings convey to the viewer a sense of timelessness and peacefulness, and a sense of getting away from it all even if only for a brief respite.”

Solo show runs June 5-30; opening reception Sunday June 9th, 3-6PM

Also featured are new works for June by Gallery members in the main gallery including paintings, sculpture, glass, jewelry, ceramics, metalwork and woodworking.

Member show runs June 10-July 7; Opening reception Friday, June 14th, 5-7PM
