Del Ray Artisans presents High Note, an art exhibit exploring the connection between music and the mind.
Music has a profound influence on us, shaping the way we feel and think. Whether symphonies make your spirit soar or doo wops do it for you, a familiar melody can unleash powerful memories, transporting us in space and time. Come see this exhibit to experience how artists captured the high notes from the soundtrack of their lives.
The juror is Britt Conley, a visual soundscape artist who paints and draws music, its physics, sound shapes, and concepts from her studio at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton, Virginia.
Special thanks to Rock of Ages Music (ROAM), Signature Theatre, Helen Olivia Flowers, glass artist Betsy Mead, and fiber artist Kirsten Jaglo for donating raffle prizes in support of this exhibit and Del Ray Artisans nonprofit.
