Daniel Pearl Memorial Program: Lecture on Lost Childhood: A Concert Opera

On Saturday, November 9, (the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht), the National Philharmonic, under the baton of conductor Piotr Gajewski, will present the first complete performance of this new opera based on a Holocaust memoir, at the Music Center at Strathmore.
Join the JCC of Greater Washington for a preview – Lost Childhood composer Janice Hamer and librettist Mary Azrael will present a lecture about the fascinating genesis of this work, and will take us “backstage” to learn about the process of creating an opera and to hear recorded excerpts.
