DC Water Safety Day

Did you know that according to the World Health Organization on average over 30,000 people drown every month? As the summer season approaches, we are hoping to get coverage about this event and the importance water safety to make sure the statistics mentioned are decreased.

The Congressional Briefing, hosted by Rep. Chaka Fattah [D-PA] and Rep. Howard Coble [R-NC], on International Water Safety Day will take place at 4:00pm in the Rayburn Building. Come join aquatic leaders from across the nation including USA Swimming- Make a Splash and CNN Hero of the Year Nominee, Wanda Butts spread the message about the importance of water safety.
