Hootenanny - Celebrating 100 Years of Woody Guthrie

The colorful life and rich musical legacy of Woody Guthrie is taking place this year from California to the New York island, from the redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters — mirroring the words of "This Land Is Your Land," Guthrie's best-known song among some 3,000 he wrote. Join us at the JCCNV for a Hootenanny, a folk-music party, with members of the cast of “WOODY SEZ: The Words, Music & Spirit of WOODY GUTHRIE” which plays Theater J in November and December. Bring your guitar, spoons, mandolins, and harmonicas and come sing and play along! Fifty percent of the ticket sales from this event will benefit the local chapter of the Huntington’s Disease Society of America – Woody Guthrie was one of the hundreds of thousands who have been afflicted by Huntington’s.

Event begins at 7:30PM
