Georgetown Senior Center Special Painting Event

MOCA DC and Uncork’d Art pleased to announce that they will sponsor a painting event for members of the Georgetown Senior Center on Monday, November 5. Dave Quammen of MOCA DC and AJ Rahim of Uncork’d Art agreed that an art-experience such as Uncork’d Art offers would be a welcome diversion from the usual activities our seniors have available to them. The result is an event that will take place on Monday, November 5 at MOCA DC from 11:30 am to 3 pm, an hour longer than their normal Monday routine. The first hour seniors can chat among themselves while eating pizza, donated by il Canale, Georgetown, across the street from Canal Square, and sipping wine, donated by MOCA DC and served from their unique wine bar. Uncork’d Art will donate the canvas, paints and teacher for the main event, which is to show them how to paint an image selected for the session. This has become a very popular style emulated by many lately; Uncork’d Art has been providing sessions for over a year and a half, and has an excellent program that makes the session a memorable experience, regardless the final result.

Event begins at 11:30AM
