40th Annual Messiah Sing-Along

Clarendon United Methodist Church continues its Christmas tradition of a community Sing-along, complete with full orchestra and soloists.

For 40 years, Dr. J. Reilly Lewis, organist and choirmaster at Clarendon United Methodist Church, has provided a bi-annual community Messiah Sing-Along at Christmas and Easter. This is believed to be one of the first and longest running Messiah-Sings presenting the complete oratorio in the DC area. On November 25, 2012, Dr. Lewis will lead full orchestra, harpsichord, organ, guest soloists, and the audience in Part One of George Frideric Handel’s Messiah. The program will begin at 7:00 p.m. with a brief pre-concert recital. There is no admission charge for the performance; however, a $20.00 donation is suggested. A reception will follow the evening’s events. The church is handicapped accessible and nursery care is provided.

Event begins at 7:00PM
