Northern Lights: Music for Strings and Harp

IBIS examines Nordic composers in a A "Champagne & Strings" event. Warm up before the concert with a glass of champagne (or perhaps a shot of vodka?) and an informal chat with violinist Joseph Scheer about these Nordic works, including string quartets by Grieg and Sibelius, and eerily fascinating music for harp and strings by Rautavaara. Join us after the concert for a reception. Tickets $20/10 for seniors and students. Kids under 18 are always free.
IBIS is composed of musicians from the National Symphony and Kennedy Center, and emphasizes excellent music making in a friendly, intimate atmosphere.

Event begins at 7:30PM
