Dear Mr. Watterson is a nostalgic exploration of acclaimed creator Bill Watterson and his beloved newspaper comic strip, Calvin & Hobbes–which was quietly retired during the height of its popularity, in 1995. This special presentation will include screening of the film, along with a live pre-show performance by We Were Pirates(the DC-based musicians who composed/performed the film’s original score) and post screening Q&A with Mike Boggs of We Were Pirates and Nevin Martell, author ofLooking for Calvin and Hobbes: The Unconventional Story of Bill Watterson and his Revolutionary Comic Strip.
